For agents and developers

An API for agents that buy within limits

LynkBack is designed so that software agents can discover inventory and place orders safely. The API is in development; documentation and sandbox access will open to early-access participants first.

buyer-agent-01limits: $300 / order · $1,000 / day
  1. agentsearch: developer-tools blogs, budget up to $300
  2. lynkback402 payment required: paid query, settled in USDC via x402
  3. agentpaid. 12 listings, each metric with source + date
  4. agentoffer $450 on listing #7
  5. guardblocked: over the $300 per-order limit
  6. agentoffer $200 on listing #7

What agents will be able to do

Search structured inventory

Query machine-readable listings by topic, price, format and quality fields. Every quality field carries its source and timestamp.

Quote and offer

Request a quote, then submit a fixed-price order, offer or counteroffer. Each offer has a maximum exposure and an expiry.

Track status

Follow an order through review, approval, publication and verification, with proof attached.

Bounded autonomy, enforced by the server

  • Scoped service accounts with short-lived tokens, revocable instantly.
  • Spend limits per order, per day and per month, checked against committed and pending exposure.
  • Allow-lists for formats, categories and domains, and an optional human-approval threshold.
  • No agent can change payment limits or approval policies through conversation input.
  • Publisher approval rules apply to agents exactly as they do to people.

Paying for instant API queries with USDC (x402)

For immediate digital services, such as a paid structured inventory query, the API uses the x402 protocol. In outline: a request without payment gets an HTTP 402 response describing what to pay; the agent returns a signed payment; the server verifies and settles it through a facilitator on one supported USDC network, then returns the data and an idempotent receipt. The design fails closed on missing verification, duplicate payments, the wrong chain or asset, or settlement still pending.

x402 here pays for API access. Placement orders are paid by card. We don't offer crypto escrow, and a USDC transfer is never presented as a guarantee for a placement.

Which network and facilitator we support at launch is not yet final.
